Hammett, of 1251 Black Hawk Road, reported a tape player and speakers valued at $276 were taken from a garage at 2201 Thunder Ridge Drive, No. 166. Tri-City Police Log David Lee Rice, 39, of 310 Minor Evansdale, was arrested on complaints of driving while license revoked and interference with official acts.

He allegedly gave police a false name. Irvin Weber, 62, of 416 20th Gilbertville, was arrested at Lafayette and Knudson on a complaint of operating while intoxicated. Daniel Hall, 29, of 729 Evans Road, Evansdale, was arrested Saturday on complaints of assault without intent to injure and interference with official acts. Hall is accused of hitting Danny Titus and resisting arrest Ward Allen Bird, 38, of 611 Jones Road, Apt. 10, was arrested Monday on complaints of assault without intent to injure a juvenile, disorderly conduct and interference with official acts.

Bird allegedly forced his thumb into the eye of a 12-year-old during an argument. He is accused of assaulting Kevin Alford Nahnsen, 21, of 1209 Ravenwood Road, No. 1. He was also wanted on outstanding warrants. James Allen Apfel, 27, of 422 Bratnober was arrested on a complaint of assault. He is accused of assaulting his wife, Carta Ann Apfel, 32.

Danny Lee Sparks, 21, of 207 Sycamore La Porte City, was arrested on a complaint of first-offense operating while intoxicated after being stopped in the 3600 block of Washington St. Charles Bernard Hightower, 20, of Minneapolis was arrested on complaints of assault and deceiving officers. He is accused of giving officers a false name and assaulting Richard Lee Phillips, 21, of 403 W. Dale Duane Gallmeyer, 50, of 2522 Edie Cedar Falls, was arrested on a complaint of first-offense operating while intoxicated after being stopped in connection with a traffic accident at Jefferson Street and Park Avenue. Melodie Lynn Sandhagen, 25, of Oelwein, was arrested on a complaint of fourth-degree theft in connection with the shoplifting of two $90 computer cartridges the Target Store, 1501 E.

San Marnan Drive. Doster Mabry Phillips, 67, of 733 Walnut was arrested on complaints of unauthorized possession of a weapon and terrorism. He is accused of walking into the Hardee's at 805 Franklin St. with a sawed-off shotgun and terrorizing the restaurant's employees. He was released from custody under a pre-trial services agreement.

BCourt Log: Kenneth Calvin Lyons, 28, of 804 Riverside Drive, received a two-day jail sentence, was placed on a year of self-probation and was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation and perform 125 hours of community service work after pleading guilty to first-offense operating while intoxicated. He was arrested May 12 in the 400 block of Westfield Avenue. Elven Glasper, 61, of 220 Cottage received a suspended jail sentence, was placed on a year of self-probation and ordered to perform 75 hours of community service after pleading guilty to driving while his license was revoked.

He was stopped May 4 at Washington Street and Mullan Avenue. Anthony Jay Guster, 34, of 401 Thompson was fined $500, given a 30-day jail sentence and placed on a year of supervised probation after pleading guilty to first-offense operating while intoxicated. He was arrested June 18 for second-offense operating while intoxicated in the 400 block of Thompson Street. cases dismissed James Leroy Lightfoot, 45, of 2732 Independence had a charge of assault dismisssed, with the complainant, his wife, to pay court costs. He was accused of assaulting his wife, Janice Lightfoot, at their home Sept.

27, 1987. John Wayne Murphy, 23, address not available, had a charge of operating while intoxicated dismissed because no trial information was filed. The county attorney's office may still refile the charges. He stopped Aug. 27 in the 2800 block of University Avenue.

Dewight Mangum, 22, of 2405 E. Fourth had two counts of assault against him dismissed. He was accused of choking Fontella Elaine Robinson twice on Oct. 18, 1987. Richard Charles Andreasen, 26, of 902 Jefferson had' a charge of assault against him dismissed because he committed no further assaults.

He was accused of assaulting his wife, Cathy, on Sept. 21, 1987, at their residence. David Lee Hora, no age and address available, had a case of filing false reports to law enforcement authorities against him dismissed at his cost. Hora had pleaded guilty to another charge. Thomas Paul Sharp, no age or address available, had a case of assault against him dismissed for lack of evidence.

The court costs are to be paid by the alleged victim, Mary F. Ernst, of 1220 Independence Ave. The incident occurred July 19. Deborah Kathleen Dolan of 421 Boston Ave. had a complaint of third-degree theft dismissed without prejudice.
