Delbert Noonan of Monticello. The bride-elect is an engineering coordinator and her fiance is a quality control engineer, both at Winnebago Industries. A Sept. 24 wedding is being planned for 2 p.m. at St.

Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. Ganin-HofTman Announcement is being made of the July 16 wedding of Michelle Ann Garvin and Andrew Thomas Hoffman. Parents of the couple are Douglas and Karen Garvin of Cedar Falls, the late Linda Barger Smith, Gordon Smith, and Thomas and Joyce Hoffman of Cincinnati. Vows were exchanged at 3 p.m. in a garden ceremony at the home of Paul and Mildred Barger, grandparents of the bride.

The Rev. Kay Hooper officiated. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Wendy Langlas of Chicago. Bridesmaid was Mary Efting of Ames. The groom chose his brother, Scott Hoffman of Cincinnati, as best man.

Hosting the event will be their children, Mrs. Dale (Beverly) Greiner and Curtis Adair. There are six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Mr. Adair and Jeanette Stumberg were married July 26, 1938, at the home of the bride's parents.

Mr. Bahl and Rose Schmidt were married June 15, 1938, in St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup. A Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated June 15 at St. Edward's Catholic Church.

They are the parents of Mrs. Edward (Betty) Lipman of Newton, Gerald of Wichita, and Robert, deceased. There are two grandsons. Chaplin50 CEDAR FALLS Mr. and Mrs.

Glen Chaplin will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house next Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Denver Country Club. The event will be hosted by their nieces and nephews. Mr. Chaplin and Helen Franzen were married July 23, 1938, in Dubuque.

Michelle Hagarty, William Noonan DUMONT Bob Nettieton celebrated his 90th birthday at an open house July 17 at the Catholic Church Social Hall. The event was hosted by the Grefe family: Chic, Doug, Jean VanGrow and Marilyn Brocha; and stepdaughters Ruby Sullivan of Rock-ford, Mable Daly, Mary Gayther and Pauline Majewski, all of Charles City. Mr. Nettleson was born and raised in the Greene community.

He married Alice Canoe in 1940 and moved to Dumont. She died in 1947, jjg ft Hazel Gerstenberger Hazel Gerstenberger of 118 John will celebrate her 90th birthday Aug. 2 with a card shower. Henderson INDEPENDENCE Sixty-three descendants of James E. and Mary Henderson attended the July 17 family reunion and potluck at the Hawkeye Valley Agency on Aging, Nutrition Site. Towns represented included Independence, Winfield, Oelwein, Tama, Crawfordsville, Marshalltown, Ida Grove, Ackley, Elkart, Waverly, Redding, Jesup, Decorah, Quas-queton and Clinton, Wis.

Chairing next year's reunion on the third Sunday in July will be Robert Ossman, president; Vonda Smith, vice-president; and Dorothy Glew, secretary and treasurer. The reunion will be at the same location. Struckman-Fails SHELL'ROCK The Struckman-Fails family reunion picnic will take place next Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shell Rock Pool Park. Mr.

Don (Mary) Mar-quard of Hampton. There are 23 grandchildreri and 16 great-grandchildren. Stoen was born May 20, 1898 in Pleasant Township. He began teaching in 1922 as superintendent of Baker Consolidated High School in North Dakota, and taught at Decorah High School where he organized the first high school band in 1925. He was elected Winneshiek Superintendent of Schools in 1933.

During his administration, he reorganized the school district and North Winneshiek Community and Turkey Val-, ley Community School District were formed. Stoen retired in 1964. He is a life member of the National Education Association and State Education Association. He received the Luther College Achievement Award in 1964. The honoree requests no gifts.

REUNIONS Cassman PARKERSBURG Thirty-six descendants Peter Cassman gathered for their reunion July 17 at the park shelter. Oldest relative present was Orville Whited, 82, and the youngest person present was Chad Halfpop of Iowa Falls, 4'A. Frericks GARWIN The 10th annual Frericks reunion took place July 10 at the Garwin park shelterhouse. Towns represented included Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Chelsea, Clarksville, Denver, Gladbrook, La Porte City, Marshalltown, Parkersburg, Shell Rock, Tama, Tripoli and Waverly. Tanner Lee Schwab, 4Vi months, son of Allen and Dorothy Schwab, was the youngest member present.

Hosting the event were Raymond and Alma Jensen and Henry and Merle Frericks. Lauterbach WELLSBURG Forty-five people attended the 32nd Lauterbach family reunion July 17 at Wellsburg Memorial Building. The oldest member present was Jennie Lauterbach, 92, of Aplington; youngest present was Laura Huis-inga, 9 months, daughter of Wesley and Lisa Huisinga. Howard and Ruth Rooney of Council Bluffs traveled the furthest distance. Guests were seated by Larry, Jim and Greg Boyer, all brothers of the bride.
