Pearson, 78, of Ankeny formerly of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 27, at Kavanagh on 56th, Des Moines, of respiratory failure. He was born June 17, 1923, in Monroe, son of Simon E. and Augusta Petersen Pearson.

He married Ardith A. Will Mr. Pearson was employed at John Deere, Waterloo. He was a US. Army veteran of World War II and was a prisoner of war.

Survived by: his wife; a daughter, Carol Williams of. Ankeny, a granddaughter, two brothers, Harold E. of Grand Island, and C. Bernard of Omaha, and two sisters, Margaret Schroeder of Grand Island and Bettie Dennison of West St Paul, Minn. ossiAN-Gregory "Greg" F.

Zweibohmer, 84, of Ossian, died Monday, Jan. 28, at home of natural causes; survivors include his wife, Esther; four sons, Greg F. He married Gisela "Sally" M. Schuld on Sept. 14, 1939, in Fairbury, Neb. Mr. Oeltjen moved in 1941 from Nebraska to the Hudson area, where he farmed for many years before retiring in 1971.

She was born June 24, 1906, in Cedar Falls, daughter of James and Ida Imlay She married Walter Hagar in 1931. He preceded her in death. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor of arts degree in physical education and was an instructor in the Greeley public school system.

After the death of her husband, Mrs. Hagar moved to Sioux City and was an instructor in the public schools. She moved to Cedar Falls and was a staff member of the Waterloo YWCA, later becoming executive director, from which she employed by Dayco, Eldora, for 15 years, retiring in 1983; he was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War vinton -Dennis James Ballard, 54, of Vinton, died Monday, Jan. 28, at the Virginia Gay Hospital emergency room, Vinton, of an apparent heart attack; survivors include his I 1 ri' Esther Hagar T- wife, Connie; four sons, Scott Ballard of Columbus, Ohio, Roger Ballard of Birmingham, Kevin Timmerman of Vinton and Kirk Beason of Maine; five daughters, Tina Ballard of Columbus, Christine Ballard of Birmingham, Julie Stevens of Cedar Rapids, Jennifer Timmerman of Vinton and Rachel Morarie of Ames; 10 grandchildren; and three sisters, Donna Soma of Pickerington, Ohio, Mary Fay of San Jacinto, and Betty Rodriquez of Worthington, Ohio; he was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and retired in 1972.

Survived by: three grandchildren, Pamela Jo Gappa of Houston, Texas, Bradford Myhr of Waterloo and Douglas Myhr of Wasilla, Alaska; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a daughter, Maryann Hagar Myhr; a brother, William; and four sisters, Florence, Jane, Ella and Ruth. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home's temporary location, 204 Seerley Blvd. There will be no visitation; her body was cremated and buried in Cedar Falls.

Waterloo Tony Ray Augustson, 46, of 5425 Weiden Road, died Monday, Jan. 28, at Covenant Medical Center of Dennis Ballard a heart attack. He was born Aug. 9, 1955, in Waterloo, son of Harold and Gertrude Moore Augustson.

He married Karen Kopsa on June 2, 1979, in Cedar Falls. A graduate of West High School, Mr. Augustson served as a medical corpsman with the U.S. Navy. He was employed with MidAmerican Energy since 1978.

He saw the shed door was partially open and then watched as it closed, according to the police report. The worker put a stick in the door's hasp to keep the door closed and called police. Before officers arrived, the burglar fled through a dog kennel access door. Police recovered a sled and a hobby horse that had been stolen and found a pair of bolt cutters. WATERLOO Waterloo police are looking for a man who broke into a shed at a hardware store Tuesday morning.

An employee at Arrowhead True Value discovered the break-in when he arrived for work and briefly locked the burglar inside a shed. Police have a suspect in the case and had a car found parked outside the business towed. The employee noticed a red 1991 Toyota near a storage shed Lorsung of Waterloo.
