Burdick graduated from West Union High Mrs. Kroma graduated from the Chicago School of School in 1995 and was attending Ellsworth School in 1937 and had worked at various jobs in Nursing in 1947 as a licensed practical nurse and Community College. He was a member of the US. Reinbeck. She served as president of the Past worked for St.

Francis Hospital and Covenant Army. Matron Club of the Order of Eastern Star. Medical Center for 39 years in their operating rooms. Butschy, 79, died October 4, 2006, at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa surrounded by family and friends in the last days of his life.

He was born to Louise and Walter Butschy in LaPorte City, Iowa on June 25, 1927. He was a Veteran of the Navy during World War II and the Korean War and while in the service was responsible for the saving the lives of two fellow sailors. Robert graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in art education and married Glenyce Judas on June 21,1952. His Robert Butschy diverse talents and interests led him to pursue a variety of careers including that as an art educator. He worked in sales at Waterloo Steel and Equipment, Sentry Insurance and Astroloy Vulcan Steel.

He worked as a technical writer at Chamberlain Corp, as a quality engineer at John Deere Corp. and engineer at Weissman Corp. In his early adult years he worked for the railroad and began a life long career in aviation culminating with work as a commercial pilot. He owned Northeast Automatic Communications selling and servicing Code-a-Phones, among the first automatic communication machines. Robert's passionate and intellectual interests included fishing and conservation efforts primarily in Northeast Iowa.

He was an avid supporter of jazz music playing in jazz bands beginning in High School in Webster City, Iowa. He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. His further interests included photography and astronomy. He was a local political pundit and human rights supporter. Robert's beliefs included a faith in reason and the following code: "I do not choose to be a common man.

It is my right to be uncommon -if I can. I seek opportunity not security. I do not wish to be a kept citizen, humbled and dulled by having the state look after me. I want to take the calculated risk; to dream and to build, to fail and succeed. I prefer the challenge of life to the guaranteed existence, the thrill of fulfillment to the state of calm utopia.

It is my heritage to think and act for myself, enjoy the benefits of creations, and to face the world boldly and say, this I have done." Robert was preceded in death by his parents and aunt, Frances Dahlenbach. He is survived by daughter, Lynne (Michael) Lent of St. Louis Park, MN, one son, Ross (Carol) Butschy of Cedar Falls, and Glenyce Butschy also of Cedar Falls. Grandchildren include Thomas Aaron, Daniel Lent, Michelle (Pete) Gallery, a greatgrandson, Aiden, an aunt, Faye Mullen of Cupertino, California, and nieces, nephews and many friends. Autopsy set for body found in river WATERLOO A man whose body was found in the Cedar River Thursday morning likely died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police. Authorities located the body of Jonathan Wayne Dana, 49, of 1312 W. Third after a passerby spotted a handgun, blood and a cane near the docks in the 900 block of Park Road at about Anna Burdick daughter, Elaine J. (Tony) Olsen of Clinton; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by: a sister, Clara Hooper; and a greatgrandson.

22, 1917, near Fertile, daughter of Nathan Beal and Alice Marriage Stuart. She married Frederick Herman Patzer Jan. 17,1961. He preceded her in death in 1977. She graduated from Iowa Falls in 1935 and was an employee of the Carnegie-Ellsworth Iowa Falls Public Library for many years.

Survived by: four nephews, Daryl Tibbs of Iowa Falls, Robert (Francis) Tibbs of Madison, Doris Patzer N.C., Larry (Janie) Mitchell of Lake Havasu City, and Bruce Stuart of Crawfordsville, and two nieces, Patricia (Ivan) Sayre of Iowa (David) Nolte of Reinbeck. 31,1953, in Washington, Iowa, daughter of Robert and Vera (Barnett) Blain. She graduated from high school in Indianapolis and attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa. She married Gary Anderson on Feb. 17, 1973, in Indianapolis. They lived in several cities including Kathleen Des Moines, Waterloo, Milwaukee, Wis, and Anderson Omaha, Neb.

She was employed as a home health aide by Comfort Keepers. Kathleen was a member of Prairie Springs Church and was the church pianist for many years. She gardening, nature walks, and helping others. She especially enjoyed time with her grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Gary, of Des Moines; two sons, Jeff of Des Moines and Doug (Carol) of Waterloo; two grandsons, Nolan and Nick Anderson, both of Waterloo; her mother, Vera Blain of Indianapolis; one sister, Sandy Hensley of Fort Meyers, Fla; and three brothers, Dennis Blain of Georgia, Lloyd Blain of Indianapolis and Phil Blain of Shelbyville, Ind.

4. He was born March 28, 1922, in Evansville, son of Carl A. and Margaret E. Williams Hartz. He married Virginia E.

Kendrick on Sept. 1, 1944, in Montgomery, Ala. Mr. Hartz attended the University of Tennessee and was a veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps, serving from 1942 to 1946.

He was territory sales manager for Sidles Company of Des Moines, retiring in 1984. He was an usher at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Carl Hartz and was a member of the Waterloo and State of Iowa Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Investigators have other evidence the injury was self- inflicted but declined to disclose what it is. The daughter of Randolph and Bernice Weeks Hutchinson, she was born May 16, 1931, in Vinton, Iowa and was raised and educated in Chicago. She later received a B.A. degree at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She was married to Robert John Ott in September of 1950 in Waterloo and the couple made their home in the WaterlooCedar Falls area. Following the death of her husband in 1968, she was married to Mark Lentz on May 16, 1969, at St.

Joseph's Catholic Church in Waterloo. The couple moved to Holiday Lake near Brooklyn in 1979 and they have wintered in Port Richey, for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Port Richey and the Columbian Club in Brooklyn. She had taught confirmation classes at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Port Richey and at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, and was active in the church choir. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her husband, Mark of Holiday Lake, near Brooklyn, Iowa; four children, Mike (Deb) Ott of Delhi, Iowa, Karen (Paul) James of Cedar Rapids, Kevin (Chris) Ott of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Laurie (Rod) Rose of Cedar Falls; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Ott; and one son, Steven Wayne Ott.
